Team Reply Library help
Your Friendly Developer · Version 0.10.0
First-time setup or upgrade
- Keep your existing JSON backup somewhere private.
- Open Manage library. Choose a new library password with at least 12 characters, preferably several unrelated words.
- Type it again and click Encrypt my library. Save the password somewhere safe; there is no reset service.
- Existing replies remain in place after successful encryption. You unlock once per Chrome session, or after an extension reload. A failed migration does not ask you to delete the original library.
Use a reply
- Unlock your library in Manage library if needed.
- Click the text box where you want your words to go.
- Open the extension from Chrome's toolbar. Choose a reply and fill in its missing details.
- Read the preview. Click Insert reviewed reply before the countdown ends.
- To undo, keep that popup open and click Undo last insertion. Newer edits are protected.
Direct insertion supports standard inputs, textareas and simple plain-text editable fields. It does not send a message or submit a form. For Google Docs and other rich editors, click Copy reply, return to the destination and paste normally. Copy and paste may be subject to your browser or organization's restrictions.
Save and recover
Use Export complete library to download a JSON backup. These files are unencrypted; keep them private. Import JSON previews what will happen before you confirm Merge or Replace. Merge keeps existing reply IDs. Replace removes the current library and its history.
History lets you compare and restore older saved text while keeping current organization. Its storage is bounded and it is excluded from exports. If you forget your library password, the developer cannot reset it or decrypt your library. A previously exported JSON backup can be imported into a fresh installation or Chrome profile with a new library password. Preserve your existing profile and any backups before making recovery changes.
If something goes wrong
- Library locked: open Manage library, unlock it, then reopen the popup on your text box.
- Time is up: close the popup, click your text box again, and reopen the extension.
- Text changed or insertion uncertain: inspect the destination before trying again. An uncertain insertion is never retried automatically.
- Incorrect password or damaged data: verify the password and keep your backups. Do not delete the library while diagnosing the issue.
- A newer version was saved: close the review or cancel the edit, reload the library and reopen the reply.
This is a personal library on one device. Shared team accounts, synchronization, background text expansion and automatic sending are not provided.
