Client Website Feedback help
Capture a visible website issue, explain the change, and exchange local review files. Version 0.2.0 is prepared for Chrome Web Store review; availability depends on the store's review process.
Start a capture
Open an HTTP or HTTPS webpage with information you are allowed to capture. Click the extension toolbar button or its assigned shortcut (suggested Alt+Shift+Y). Keep that tab and window active until the editor opens. Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store and file URLs are unsupported. Only the visible viewport is captured, not the entire scrolling page.
Inspect the screenshot. Crop unwanted areas and add opaque redaction rectangles over anything you do not want saved. Check the privacy-review box and commit. The raw screenshot expires after one minute; if it expires or is interrupted, return to the webpage and invoke again. Redaction previews become permanent pixels only when committed. The tool does not automatically identify private information.
Add a written change and optional pin, then provide a project name and issue title and save. Follow Open local project board. You can also open the board from the extension's Options in Chrome. Capture delay on the board can give you two seconds to position the pointer over a hover menu.
Review and return feedback
Export complete feedback JSON from the original project and transfer it deliberately. The recipient can install the same extension, open its Options, and choose Open file reviewer. No local server or account is needed. Import the package and confirm the separate local copy. Choose Review revision, enter a reviewer label and note, save locally, then Export review notes and transfer that file back.
The original operator imports returned notes on the original project board and confirms the preview. Notes are bound to stored revisions. Duplicate and stale notes are identified, reviewer labels remain unverified, and an imported note never approves an issue automatically.
HTML exports are self-contained view-only reports that can be opened without the extension. They do not provide interactive note return. CSV summaries omit screenshots and note bodies and are not complete backups.
Storage and removal
Projects are stored in this Chrome profile, not an account or cloud service. Records and exports are not encrypted by the extension. Export backups you want to keep; clearing browser storage or removing the extension may remove local records. Purge/delete actions cannot recall exported or shared files and do not promise forensic disk erasure.
Limits are 10 projects, 25 issues and 100 images per project, 40 MiB project media and 100 MiB total media. Warnings start at 80 percent. At capacity, export existing projects before removing local data. Complete package imports must fit within 64 MiB and review-note imports within 1 MiB/1000 notes.
Troubleshooting
If capture is refused, return to a supported webpage, wait until it finishes loading, keep the same tab/window focused and invoke again. There is no automatic retry. If the shortcut is unavailable, use the toolbar or inspect its assignment in Chrome's Extensions keyboard shortcuts. If saving fails, retain the existing project and read the error before trying again. Local review labels and statuses do not verify anyone's identity.
Keyboard controls and numeric crop/redaction/pin fields are provided. Some native keyboard and screen-reader scenarios remain unverified; no accessibility certification is claimed.
